Can I save a project? Here's what I wrote in the original FL Studio 12 OS X ALPHA 0.1 TEST VERSION thread, let me cut and paste the forum code so you get color and everything:-8ALPHA software FL Studio OS X Alpha 0.1 IS missing features. It will crash, it is very buggy AND is NOT ready for production work. Not sure if anyone at MacRumors heard about this but the makers of FL Studio have released a beta test version of the audio creation software for Mac OSX. It's still the PC version simply Crossover wrapped but if Mac users show interest they may go ahead with a native OSX version in the future. I'm new to the Mac scene, but I've been working with NI and Fl Studio for years on my Windows PC. The issue I'm having today is that I've installed Fl Studio and want to add Kontakt 5 to my VST plugins. However, after installing Kontakt, I can't find the.dll anywhere, so I can't direct Fl Studio to the folder where the VST for Kontakt is located. FL Studio Alpha is the Mac Beta version for FL Studio. It allows Mac users to test it and give feedback on bugs and potential fixes. This is the latest update Alpha 0.9R Released April 2017.

Image Line are working on a Native OS X version of FL Studio 12. 'It is not a Windows application in disguise,' Scott from FL Studio tells us! Once you've done a merry dance in celebration, you can head over to the FL forums to test it out.

Yes, in case you missed that. This is a NATIVE (not wrapped) version for Mac OS X.

Notable things that DO NOT WORK yet:

  • Drag-drop from browser tree. (workaround: right click in tree and select from popup menu)
  • VST/AU plugins (only the included FL plugins are supported)
  • Ogg-encoded wav files (we are working on it. .ogg files load fine though)
  • Using multiple monitors (so far only working on primary monitor)
  • MIDI input/output
  • Proper retina scaling (now it scales so pixels are doubled in retina mode)

The following plugins SHOULD WORK:

  • 3x Osc
  • Control Surface
  • Fruity Delay Bank
  • Fruity Flangus
  • Fruity Limiter
  • Fruity Love Philter
  • Fruity Parametric EQ 2
  • Fruity Reeverb 2
  • Fruity WaveShaper
  • Gross Beat
  • Harmor
  • Maximus
  • Patcher
  • Sytrus

Hey everyone, I decided to put fl studio onto my desktop instead of using it on my laptop because it over heats a lot now. Anyway on my laptop i use fl 9 and it never crackles and the cpu load rarely goes over 50% (this is a 2.0 ghz dual core and around 4 years old) and the buffer length is at the highest so that i can use it without annoying stuttering and crackling.
However when i put it on my pc (which has a 3.4 ghz quad in it) i was hoping for it to run a lot better than on my laptop but instead it is pretty much un-usable. It hits around 70% cpu load and crackles/stutters when playing a kick, a snare and a 3xosc. I've tried lowering the buffer length to the highest (8000 and something) and switching to the asio4all sound driver. This made the under-runs go from 2000 to around 20 but it is still stuttering like mad. I don't understand why its and wondering if anyone knew if it has anything to do with needing a new soundcard. But in both my laptop and pc i dont have a dedicated soundcard but the laptop has worked. RAM should also not a problem as laptop has 4gb and pc has 8gb. So just asking if anyone knows if this is a soundcard problem or just something I'm doing wrong? cheers in advance
